Rear axle is fully suspended. Outer side of the half-shaft is connected to the wheel hub via a flange plate, and the wheel hub is independently supported on the axle housing by bearings. The axle housing bears all vertical loads, and the half-shaft is only connected to the differential via a spline.
Fully Suspended Rear Axle: Half-shaft is only responsible for transmitting drive torque. The vertical load and impact force of the wheels are directly borne by the axle housing, and the half-shaft does not bear bending stress.
Semi Suspended Rear Axle: Half-shaft not only transmits torque but also needs to support part of the wheel weight and road impacts, bearing the combined effects of torque and bending moment.
