The half shaft mainly transfers driving torque, while the axle housing takes the vehicle weight and road impact. Compared with the older eighth generation design, it uses thicker 26 tooth half shafts, larger module gears, and reinforced axle tubes. The tension structure has also been changed to a harder straight slant arrangement, helping improve stability during driving.
